Privacy
We collect as little as we can, we say exactly what that is, and the pages you read without signing in stay anonymous to us.
No cookies, no trackers
Public pages set no cookies and load no third-party scripts, fonts, or beacons of any kind.
What we collect when you give it to us
Three things, each only if you choose to hand it over:
- Your email address, if you ask for a seat on the front page. It is stored with the date and with your browser's user-agent string. Purpose: to reply to you about a seat. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass it to anyone.
- Your account details, if you are invited and create a login: your email address, a one-way hash of your password, and — where you give them — a display name, a phone number, or a linked Telegram ID. Purpose: to operate your account and your seat.
- What you write to us, if you send a message through the feedback link: your message and its subject, the page you sent it from, your browser's user-agent string, and your name and email address where you give them. Purpose: to answer you.
Signing in also records the network address and user-agent of each session, and identity events — a sign-in, an invitation, a change of role — are recorded with the network address, so that who reached an account and when remains answerable months later. Reading the site without signing in is never recorded this way: the page counter described below sees only a one-way daily hash.
All of it is stored on our own server in India. We keep it for as long as your seat, your account or your enquiry is live, and delete it on request.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask us to show you what we have on record about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave — including asking us to forget an address you submitted on the front page. Use the feedback link on any page, or reply to any mail we send you. We act on these ourselves; there is no third party to route around.
If you are not satisfied with how we handled a privacy request, say so through the same route and it will be escalated to the person who runs Patearn.
Page analytics, anonymised by construction
We count page views first-party: time, page address, response status and duration, browser user-agent, and a one-way daily hash in place of your network address. The hash is salted with a value that is never stored and changes on every restart, so it cannot be reversed to your address, cannot be linked across days, and expires by design. Raw IP addresses are not written to disk by the analytics layer.
Chat
If you use the assistant, the conversation text you submit is stored to operate and improve the service. Do not submit personal or sensitive information through chat.
Server logs
Standard infrastructure logs (used for security and debugging, e.g. rate-limiting abusive traffic) are retained briefly on our servers and are not shared with third parties.
Contact
Questions about this policy go the same way as the requests above: use the feedback link on any page, or reply to any mail we send you. That reaches the person who runs Patearn.
